Alex Azary is Synectic’s new dedicated Quality Engineer. Join us as we sit down with Alex to learn a little about him and what brought him to Synectic.
Alex, thank you so much for speaking with me and allowing everyone to get to know you better. First, let’s talk a little bit about your background and how you got into engineering.
I studied Biology at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. While my academic background is not rooted in Engineering, I’ve always been fascinated by problem-solving and applying scientific principles to practical challenges. After graduating, I worked as a Quality Specialist, where I focused on ensuring products and processes met industry standards. This role gave me valuable insight into quality control, process optimization, and the importance of precise, data-driven decision-making.
How is your day spent as a Quality Engineer?
As a Quality Engineer at Synectic, I primarily work to ensure that all products and processes meet the highest quality and compliance standards. This includes developing Synectic’s quality system and creating solutions for customers that adhere to all applicable FDA and ISO standards.
Out of all the product development companies, what made you decide to come and work at Synectic?
Synectic has a unique product development approach and a diverse range of projects. The opportunity to work across a wide range of industries is both exciting and challenging. I am drawn to the idea of contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies and solutions that have a real-world impact, whether in medical devices or other innovative fields.
How can your varied background and experience as a quality engineer help our customers?
As a Quality Engineer with a background in biology, I have a unique perspective that blends engineering principles with a deep understanding of biological systems. My passion lies in quality assurance and process optimization within industries where biology and engineering intersect, such as medical devices, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals. I bring a strong focus on precision, continuous improvement, and a proactive problem-solving mindset to Synectic. I am committed to ensuring that all products and processes meet the highest standards of quality, which directly benefits our clients by ensuring reliability, consistency, and performance.
What do you do when not working on the next latest and greatest product design for our clients?
As a former college tennis player, I love to spend time on the tennis courts whenever I can. I enjoy spending time outdoors and skiing in the winter. Music has been an important part of my life, and I often find playing piano to be a comforting hobby.
Ok, Alex, before we go, we’ve got to know what your favorite type of pizza is.
As someone who loves spicy food, my favorite type of pizza would have to be one with a bit of heat, like a spicy buffalo chicken pizza or a pie with spicy sausage, jalapeños, and maybe even some crushed red pepper flakes if we’re being fancy.
