Enhanced 3D Tissue Engineering
Bioengineers at the Center for Cellular Construction at University of California, San Francisco have developed a method to enhance current 3D tissue engineering. The approach uses a precision technology called DNA-programmed assembly of cells or DPAC to build an initial spatial tissue template that can then fold in on itself to create complex shapes. These complexities replicate how tissues assemble themselves during development and is often the missing piece in tissue engineering. Read the full article here.
