Colleagues at the Parkinson's Foundation have developed a breath test for early Parkinson's detection. The medical device is comprised on 40 sensors that bind to specific molecules in the breath, changing the sensors' electrical resistance. When tested, the device was found to have an 81% accuracy, which is currently better than other non-invasive diagnostic options available.
